A 24 foot long travel trailer is more than likely going to use a 2-5/16" hitch ball but it could also be a 2" hitch ball so it will be important to check the top of the trailer coupler for this as it will be stamped into it. If you need a hitch ball for a weight distribution system like the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control part # RP66084 then you will need to make note of the shank as the hitch balls for a distribution system are unique.

Going with a brake setup that's rated for higher than what the axle capacity is designed for isn't ideal as it basically just makes it harder to adjust the brakes properly. They brakes themselves won't necessarily be any stronger but when you are fine tuning the adjustment of them it will feel like you either have too much braking or not enough instead of easily being able to find the correct tightness.

There are no specific tire sizes for years, makes and models of trailers. The right tire will be one that meets or exceeds your 1992 Coachmen Catalina's GVWR and also fits your wheels and in the space your Catalina has.
